Which Way Challenge-15-2906

~~~~~
By the time I found these tracks, on Sunday…Flinders-St_0178
 my feet were definitely trying to tell me something.Southern-Cross-Station_0223And it was the same something my knees were grumbling about.
Southern-Cross-Station_0225By the time I took this shot all aforementioned joints
realised they were in the home straight…
Southern-Cross-Station_0226and knew exactly which way they were going.
Floral Friday-15-2606
Floral Friday Challenge.
A few years ago our Manchurian Pear blossoms were…
Blossom_0042thick and plentiful.
manchurian-pear_0411aLate last week I found a few tiny early blooms arriving.
manchurian-pear_0412However, when I included my thumb the bloom did not appear that small…
at nearly two centimetres in diameter.
Apologies for the quality of this photo…
holding a camera in one hand while trying to
stretch the other into focus was not
what my shaking hands wanted to do. 🙂
Cee’s Odd Ball Challenge-15Wk-26
This week’s
Odd Ball
Challenge
~~~~~

This evening I have aching feet and knees,

which will be worse in the morning,

after spending most of today

walking around Melbourne’s Laneways.

So, today, one quick peek at the results of Sunday’s efforts.

This is one small part of a much larger painting.

Travel Theme-Tiny

My

Tiny

Travel Theme.

~~~~~
Tiny is such a relative word.
For example, generally we would not call a house cat big,
but what does the mouse it’s chasing think of it?
moorabool-sunset_6704dOn the horizon are trees which are mature
and standing some 60 to 80 feet tall…
perhaps a little higher…
and up to 5 feet through the bole.
However, when Mother Nature is overlaid
these large trees are tiny.
Weekly Photo Challenge-Muse
~~~~~

My contribution for this week’s challenge…

Muse

~~~~~
One of the definitions of muse was inspiration,
which is my take on the muse challenge.
Backpack_0319The contents, or rather some things that
are missing, are a major muse for me.
camera_0312Apart from photographing my almost, empty camera bag,
I delight in using my camera to take shots like this.
Or is the inspiration the view??
fog_1832Or maybe catching an early foggy morning…
corio-bay_0118however, with the purchase of a decent camera equipment
I can now take shots of wildlife wherever it maybe, and…
corio-bay_0119sneak in for some close-ups without disturbing it.
paper-mill-original_6423This year I found myself out of work about
two days prior to returning.
I decided to learn a bit about Photoshop.
Above is an original photo.
I decided to see if I could improve it.
paper-mill-BW_6423a-iI think the end result is a vast improvement that many could,
possibly, have completed in a few minutes.
It was my muse/inspiration for around a week.
Ten minutes here, ten minutes there,
during TV advertisements, and so on.
So I think it is safe to say that my muse, at least this year
is to continue improving my photography, skills
Cee’s Black and White Challenge:
Houses.
~~~~~

Houses, houses, houses…all sorts of houses.house_0050
The regular sort.

The round sort…at Anglesea.

house_0174bwaAn abandoned house…

waiting for the block to house a supermarket.

This photo was taken at least a year ago and

still no super market.

Although the house is gone.

a gorgeous house for Mrs Weaver…

The blurry blob in the background is also

a weaver’s nest/house

pelican_0067And with pelicans weighing up to thirty pounds

this has to be the most sturdy house of all.

Wordless Wednesday_15-2506

 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Plovers are not very colourful, however, here goes…

plover_0253Mum and Dad were the reason I went outside on Sunday.

plover-chick_0250They were noisily shepherding their brood around the yard…

plover-chick_0266and keeping them off the road.

plover-chick_0331And when I appeared to be getting too close,

the brood was told to “Sit” and not move.

plover_0399Across the road the parents still were ordering

their young around…or telling me to clear off.

After I returned inside, I heard what sounded like a dog yelp.

Thinking it was one of ours being attacked by the plovers,

I looked in time to see an early teenage girl (I think)

in full running stride, dragging some sort of terrier

which was nearly air born on the end of its lead.

Meanwhile plover parents were taking turns

in a long 50 metre swooping attack dive

at the aforementioned child and dog.

My contribution for this week’s

Fun Foto Challenge

~~~~~
 Three4Three
~~~~~

It’s going to be one of those weeks.

I thought Monday was Sunday

and I was thinking today was only Tuesday

only to realise most of Wednesday has past!

corellas_0066I found these Cockatoos, Corellas,

in an old tree some weeks back.

cranes_6672Instead of going out in the wee hours of this morning, on

the off-chance we could see Aurora Australis (Southern Lights)

from here, I got an early start for sunrise.

Alas even though there was some cloud around

the sunrise was not as good as hoped for.

However, I did spot three cranes on this ship,

AND only spotted three tug boats upon

loading pics to my computer

AND I am going to claim three jetties/piers

in the foreground.

Edit: I have just realised there are three different threes in this photo !!!!
