Word-of-Day-Challenge-Sizzle

e~~~~~~~

~~~~~
we sizzled in blazing sunshine this week
~~~~~

Although the sun was shining was hardly

sizzling weather at Nice Beach…

…however, Manly Beach would certainly

see some sizzle bodies…

Loch Ard Gorge was the hottest day of all.

The asphalt in the car park was melting

under a sizzling 44-degree Celsius sun.

The sand was burning through footwear

and note how all beachgoers are hugging

the meagre bit of shade.

(of a part of a person’s body) soft,
loose, and fleshy
~~~~~
All labradors I have ever seen have always
had some flabby skin.
Some similar images from
my rotund post.
I guess I can always dream…of what
it would be like to be slim.
home
the place where one lives permanently,
especially as a member of a family
or household.
~~~~~

No matter where I have been travelling, many

international flights usually touch down

in Sydney first.

Therefore with the sighting of the

Sydney Harbour Bridge comes a feeling of home.

Sighting Melbourne’s skyline and Victorians

know they are home.

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge-Fashion

~~~~~
Fashion of all sorts.
A drawing from my Mother-in-law’s school sketch book.
Her daughters did not know she had this until
after she passed away a couple of years ago.
And it seems only a few years ago that
London model Twiggy,
caused a furore at the Melbourne Cup
wearing a mini skirt two whole inches
above the knee.
Hemlines have certainly changed since 1965.
Fashion on the gold fields in mid 1800s.
Being married anywhere is now fashionable.
Bride’s dresses have changed considerably
since the late 1970s and mid 80s.
In  my twenties I did like to dress formally for a night out.
Sadly I don’t go out as much and formally has
taken on a whole new meaning.
Fashion on a Rivera beach, Nice to be precise,
is much more relaxed.
I believe this beautiful Athabaskan
coat and hood was for formal wear.
Word-of-Day-Challenge-Lady
~~~~~

lady

a polite or formal way of referring to a woman.

Recently I posted a photo of

some young ladies paddling

on Lake Lucerne.

  These young ladies (and gents) were cooling down

at Sydney’s Manly Beach a few years ago.

The youngest did not ask Mum’s permission

to cool down.  -)

Starting with Melbourne urban sights.

I’m not sure if this service is still operating.

Next week’s fashion?

We had an enjoyable carriage ride in

Victoria, British Columbia, last year.

It’s probably about time to check out Melbourne

with a one horsepower drive.

An ice rink in the country is unheard of.

I was surprised to see this open air rink

in Melbourne a few years ago.

Heads deliberately removed because

most skaters were youngsters

I always associate buskers…

with urban life.

Couldn’t help take this one.

Big sister was horrified.

Little sister was cooling.

Mum was busy talking to a friend

and did not see any of this!

FOWChallenge-Common

~~~~~
Legs and feet…
…something common…
…to many of earth’s creatures.
 Something else common…
…is the fact that…
…some legs and feet…
…are more pleasing to the eye than others.
Another commonality…
…is that legs and feet can reflect the size…
…of the body being supported.
