Week 119

People

Over the past twelve months, or so,

we have seen people doing many things.

Sun-baking on a stone beach at Nice.

 ~~~~~
Many of us grumble that our early entry to
the Palace of Versailles was not that privileged…
until we completed our tour and sighted
the line of people waiting to enter.
More people at Menin Gate Last Post Ceremony.
 By comparison, to some of the European sites we visited,
London’s Trafalgar Square
was almost empty.
My
Travel Theme.
A network so fine…
 to display these…
dew drops in all their glory.
Another kind of fragility…in Nice last year…
reminded us of the fragile grip on life we have.
Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge-Letter-N
~~~

My contribution for

this week’s challenge

Letter-N

(Needs to start with letter N)

Random Ns come from

Nice and St Paul de Vence

in France this week.

~~~~~
Being on the French Riviera there were still those
defying the possibility of skin cancer…
and baring near naked bodies
to  soak up the sun’s rays.
Names  of restaurants were high on walls for visibility.
The name of St Paul de Vence patron saint was
at the foot of a huge statue.
From our vantage point we could
view a nearby cemetery.
Narrow streets appeared to be…
the only type of street in St Paul de Vence.
Back in Nice novel methods…
of parking were needed.
Not sure if I hit all the
noun, verb, adjective,
requirements Cee.
Black and White Challenge:
Backs
~~~~~

Backs from Europe this week…

 and we saw many backs walking away

from us while touring.

I guess we made the backs

for other photographers.

And while in Florence we saw this

imitation of David…but still a back.

Entering Nice one of the first things we saw

was a tarmac full of private jets.

There were times a chair would have

been quite welcome.

I even thought cycling was better than walking.

And I guess a visit to Nice would not be complete

without a tourist shot or two of sunbathers’ backs.

Hands, Feet

~~~~~
Hands and feet of…
 Europe this week.
More feet…
and then some hands.
Some sun baking legs and feet.
 More sun baking feet.
These hands, belong…
to these feet.
The building which dominated
York’s skyline was…
York Minster.
It was equally impressive close up as in the distance.
The above shot was taken in Nice.
We call these pedestrian crossings…Zebra Crossings.
I don’t know if the rest of the world uses
 that nickname for them, or not.
This is a real Zebra crossing in
Kruger National Park,
South Africa.
Where ever these crossing are located,
suburbia or in National Parks,
they have the same effect on the traffic flow.
