Word-of-Day-Challenge-Castoff

~~~~~
If you cast off something,
you get rid of it because it is
no longer necessary or useful to you,
or because it is harmful to you.
~~~~~

I often wonder if fashions which are sold

in markets are last seasons cast offs.

Perhaps not a bona fide

Farmers Market however…

…these Arras (France) market images…

…are nearly the only market images…

…I possess.

Any other images…

…are of markets

…where locals are trying…

…to capture the tourist dollar.

The Arras Market was operating…

…primarily for locals…

..to purchase the necessities of life.

Night shots from a variety of places.

Big Ben and Parliament House

Arras Bell Tower and Place des Heros

Arras,

France

Our night cruise on the River Seine

gave us a multitude of river-side parties…

annd a different perspective

of the Eiffel Tower.

The drive back to our hotel took us past

the Arc de Triomphe…

…and also city lights.

After arriving in Dubai at 0400,

we had a quiet day…

…prior to  boarding a Dhow for a…

…Dubai Creek Dinner Cruise.

Just a few colourful images…

…from our Diner Cruise on…

…Dubai Creek.

Night two saw us on a desert safari and dinner,

with entertainment provided by a fire dancer…

…and a belly dancer.

A great time was had and if you don’t mind

sand from horizon to horizon you

will love the experience.

Me?

I’m not a fan of sand.

I am constantly reminded of this market because

I purchased a pendant for MGW to wear to work.

It must have received the tick of approval

as it is still a regular.

Nectarines and strawberries…two of my favourites.
