RagTagChallenge-Soft

~~~~~
soft
easy to mould, cut, compress, or fold;
not hard or firm to the touch.
~~~~~

Soft…and my first thoughts

were of our second born

and his collection of soft toys.

Which he still has!

My next thoughts turned to photography

and soft-focus…not as in bokeh, rather

just to take the harshness out of an image.

Some of my entries larger than others,

but all bigger than bread box.~~~~~

Orca and Calf

Just in case seeing the calf was difficult in BW.

~

I always thought this was a beer bottle.

However the words

flavoured beverage,

have me wondering.

Whatever the contents it would

take some drinking.

All the way across the Indian Ocean

to see a Giant Aardvark

in Botswana

A couple of hours northwest of Geelong

is the Giant Koala.

Cee-BW-Challenge-Store-Front-Signs

~~~~~
Nothing worse than this sign
on an open road….at night.
The times when the sign is erected
a week before work commences,
or is left up for a similar time
after work ceases.
Do you obey the speed limit?
Or, carry on driving at the open road speed
of 100 kph and risk being booked?
They are happy chappies considering…
..their next stop may be a vat of boiling oil.
The Bull and Mouth Hotel.
All country pubs used to serve counter meals.
Not so anymore, especially in small towns.
A common sight the world over.
One-Word-Sunday-Homonym
~~~~~

~~~~~
My homonym word
is BANK.
Taken on the BANK of the
Wimmera River at Horsham,
Victoria.
On the bank of the River Seine
in Paris, France.
Apologies for the quality of my
Challenger Bank photo.
Among Melbourne’s skyline it was
only about 3-4 millimetres wide
in the original.
Again a tight crop in a bigger photo.
The People’s Bank
in Beaune,
France.
We/I have to stay with the
English version of BANK as the
French versions are totally different.
Berge de rivière…river bank
and
Banque populaire…People’s Bank
