People…

…who need people…

If  only the iPad operators, in our group

stood this far back from the crowd,

instead of in front.

Will always remember these

two young ladies from Amsterdam.

After asking would they mind posing,

the girl on the left hit me for 5 Euro,

and kept straight face long enough

for mine to express the shock I felt,

before she burst out  laughing.

The villains 🙂

Mostly we have met…

or seen people helping others…

…in various ways.

Is the photographer helping

her model or vice versa?

The ‘shoot’ was for a tertiary

photography course.

Maybe they were studying

the same course.

Bicycles and Motorcycles

We first noticed the high usage of bicycles in Brugge.

While in Amsterdam the bicycle flat

provides free parking for 2,500 bicycles.

The Cadel Evans January Road Race in Geelong’s suburbs.

The Peloton.

Motorcycles and shouldered television cameras

beaming the action to the world.

Riders look relaxed but are travelling

at a phenomenal speed.

Not a great variety of bikes this week.

However, they come from many locations.

On display at a nearby market day a few years back.

Some of Melbourne’s ‘rent a bike’ collection.

Brugge bikes.

Amsterdam.

MGW was nearly run down by

a motor scooter similar to this one.

It ran a red light.

After this incident we were told

the lights were/are only a ‘suggestion’ 🙂

Tower of London ‘rent a bike’ collection.

The peloton nearing the end of the

Cadel Evans Classic last year.

Support vehicles and bikes.

Four laps of Geelong to go.

My contribution for

this week’s challenge

Letter-V

(Needs to start with V…contain at least 6 letters)

Monaco during our 2016 holiday/Vacation

Part of the Moorabool Valley near Geelong.

Most buildings in Amsterdam are Vertical, however,

some do lean like the Tower of Pisa.

Even from an altitude of 40,000 feet it is difficult

to appreciate the Vastness of the Antarctic ice pack.

I always The Creation of Adam would dominate

the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican City.

  However it was swallowed up by surrounding panels.

According to Wikipedia it is substantial

9 ft 2 in × 18 ft 8 inches, it is so far above

one’s head it seems you could

hold it in your hands.

Cee-BW-Challenge-Houses

~~~~~
Compared to most houses in Australia…
most of us thought many European cities
contained small houses which went up instead
of sprawling along the ground.
On the other hand, this is the back yard of
Schonbrunn Palace.
It is also known as the
Hapsburg’s Summer Cottage.
There is only 1,441 rooms in Schonbrunn Palace
compared to 3,000 rooms in the
Hapsburg’s Winter Palace.
At the other end of the spectrum was
this refugee camp at Calais.
Back to Amsterdam and this tiny house
squeezed in between others not much larger.
Finally, one of the many houseboats
moored in Amsterdam’s canals.
My perception of ‘small’ is based on the frontage.
Only those living in my ‘small’ houses know
how roomy they are…particularly when a house
is several stories high.
 are African souvenirs.
While this display was found in
