Last week while feeding the magpies… I happened to look up from dismembering a slice of bread to see this bloke sitting on the other side of the trampoline. I’m not sure who was shocked most. It didn’t take long for one body to hope there would be some overflow… and for some friends to be looking down on the scene. One of the onlookers decided to… drop in and join its friend. Maggie was starving so much that she did not notice the grace of her namesake… as it manoeuvred its way down to the trampoline. Wings tucked backed… claws extended, and… touchdown.
Part of the ceremony during last Tuesday’s First Shot of World War 1 Commemoration… was a fly over by some Tiger moths. However, these pelicans… jumped the gun… and put on quite a display… behind the military presence. However, they were not content…
with a fly by… ~~~ they had to… complete… a full circle or two, before… deciding… to… head… out into… Port Phillip Bay. I enjoyed… watching their formation flying… as they glided… on the air currents.
