Daily Prompt-Guilty

~~~~~
When dear old Maggie was asked,
’‘ who has been digging up the garden?’
No matter how hard she tried,
no jury was going to believe she was innocent.
Daily Prompt-Assumption
~~~~~

Assumption

a noun

a thing that is accepted as true or as certain to happen,

without proof.

We were told Vienna’s

Schönbrunn Palace,

also known as

The Summer Cottage,

has 1,441 rooms

We assume that is correct because…

  1. of the sheer size of the building,

  2. we did not have time to count the rooms,

  3. our guides told us…they should know, and

  4. Google/Wikipedia agree. 🙂

Weekly Photo Challenge-Twisted

~~~~~
My contribution for this week’s challenge…
Twisted
~~~~~

When first approached about growing blue gums…  the clean up contractor told us all fencing material

would be ‘buried’.

I guess when his time arrives he will be happy

to be dumped under a tree in a twisted mess.

A twisted limb frames a canola paddock.

Twisted trees on Mt. Buninyong.

A foggy morning and

a clear reflection in still water.

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge-Books-Paper

~~~
When we moved one thing I wanted
was somewhere to store my books.
The shelving was all too quickly filled with both…
paper and digital audio books.
Christmas is a time of year when plenty of paper is used.
Daily Prompt-Premature
~~~~~

Waayyy back around 1970…My cousin and I were supporting opposite sides

in what is now known as the

Australian Football League’s

Grand Final.

A 10 cent wager was placed.

At half time my team was 10 goals in front and

I prematurely asked my cousin did she want to pay up.

She declined.

And it is now history that Collingwood (my team)

had their worst ever case of the “Colliewobbles”

and lost another Grand Final.

And I have never had a wager on football since.
