Lismore Water Tower
Lismore is sedate one hour drive
along the Hamilton Highway
west from Geelong
The water tower is now adorned
with Brolgas and their chicks.
Brolgas were once known as native companions,
and are also known as the Australian crane.
I have never sighted a brolga however I believe
they have a fascinating dance ritual
which is depicted in the above image.
Lismore is well into sheep country,
therefore, it is only fitting that the back
of the water tower pays tribute to the
wool and lamb production of the area.
