I was so certain that we were approaching

a solid grey wall and very relieved

to discover it was the expected water

at Botswana’s

Nata Bird Sanctuary.

 

A drywall fence in the

Moorabool Valley.

 

A wall of water crashes to shore at Torquay.

an instance of a wrong or misinterpreted perception
of a sensory experience.

On the last day of our Botswana Safari

we visited Nata Bird Sanctuary

As we approached all I could see was

one huge grey wall in front of us.

It  was the greatest sensory misinterpretation

I have ever experienced.

For the record it was a sheet of ‘grey’ water.
