I decided to stick to Aussie favourites for his week’s challenge.
Griffin Gully Pier with the sky colours reflected in the water.
Again reflections and colours.
The pier, above, is just to the left.
The sun is just a picture as it endeavours to remain in bed.
Reminds me of our boys when they were teens and
I wanted half an hour’s assistance on a Saturday morning.
It always took an hour to get them out.

Sundown at Point Lonsdale Lighthouse

The first time I ever tried smoothing the water.
The 12 Apostles on a 44 Degree Celsius day
I love the colours of the sand, foam and aqua water.
It is obviously being enjoyed by this beach goer.

Visitors to the…
12 Apostles…….will know that these formations are…
…right behind photographers when they
capture their iconic images
Although seldom, if ever, part of a travel advertisement…
…I think these formations are equal to
the Apostles themselves.
Many years ago…
…it was possible to walk right out to the end of this formation.
Now visitors are kept safely back on Terra Firma…
…and these signs are everywhere.
The Standard postcard views…
of the 12 Apostles.
All along Victoria’s, Shipwreck Coast, nature has
been hard at work eroding away coastal limestone
to create the 12 Apostles, Lochard Gorge and
London Bridge (now called London Arch)
Now, that same force of nature is working
to topple all of its hard work.
Around 25-30 years ago London Bridge
(now called London Arch) toppled
and detached from mainland Australia.
More recently another of the Apostles
fell victim to the ravages of Mother Nature…
…which is probably why we can no longer
walk out to the end of this Apostle.

Some of the best formations…
…can be seen in…
…the limestone which makes up…
…the coastline along
Victoria’s South West Coast
including The Twelve Apostles
and Lochard Gorge.

I have stayed with the coast for this week’s
MidWeek Madness Challenge.
Hardly need to caption this image…but it is the 12 Apostles.
Gibson Steps beach…about ten minutes east of the Apostles..
