Just made for this challenge.

Swirls, curves and circles form

this outdoor seat in rural Victoria.

Curves…

…and still more curves form Rome’s Colosseum.

Finally, at Geelong’s Eastern Beach,

there is a curve in the water’s edge

which leads to corresponding curves

in the walking path and the tree line.

When we first sighted this metal artwork,

we had no idea what it was called

or meant to be…

…so we agreed they looked like sharks teeth

and so the art had a name.

For around ten years we were

comfortable with the name.

It was not until someone at the camera club

presented a photo and I referred to

the shark’s teeth that the club secretary

let out a chuckle and told me he had heard

the art called many things but not shark’s teeth.

What they did represent is the sails of

the many small craft that sail

Geelong’s Corio Bay.
