How to Be the Perfect Grandpa

by

Bryna Paston

Towards the end of 2020, with the birth of our first Grandchild imminent we received the How to Be the Perfect Grandpa/Grandma books.

According to my significant other, the Grandma book was quite humorous.  I’m afraid I only managed a smile or two during the last few pages of my Grandpa book.  Was this due to the fact that I was expected to read this book?  Maybe.  I  do like to choose my own reading material.

Put simply, How to be the Perfect Grandpa is a book I would never have contemplated reading, as it is full of real-life anecdotes and I seldom, if ever, read anything but fiction.

However, I did finish How to be the Perfect Grandpa which means it rates as a two-star book.

Better Blogging with Photography:

How to Maximize Your Blog Using Your Own Images

by

Terri Webster Schrandt

I must confess wanting to read Better Blogging with Photography from the moment I saw it advertised on Terri Webster Schrandt’s Second Wind Leisure Blog.  I was not disappointed with my Kindle copy from Amazon.  Before I go any further should you, like me, not own a Kindle there is a free Kindle app, which, according to http://www.makeuseof.com website may be used on any of the following; Android, Blackberry 10, iOS, Mac and Windows devices.  I use it on my iPads.

Better Blogging with Photography is broken into seven chapters each of dealing with specific parts of blogging and photography.   For example some of the topics covered relate to why photographs are beneficial to a blog; how to create and use your own images; how your images can generate traffic to your blog and finally, photography and Social Networking.

Whether you are a novice or have a few blogging years under your belt I’m sure there is something in Better Blogging with Photography for you.

Book Review-Nikon-D7100

Nikon D7100

(Expanded Guides)

by

Jon Sparks

(Goodreads Author)

I found this manual to be an excellent guide to using a Nikon camera. In this case the D 7100.

Good quality paper, glossy pages, colour images and font which my eyes could read.

A far, far easier read than the supplied Nikon manual.
