this caught my eye.

Even it June it was useful and I suspect

it would be in  high demand during winter.

This may appear to be an advertisement for

Purina and Total Care…Let me assure you it is not!

I walked into to the kitchen this morning in time to get

an earful, about the packaging, from MGW.

MGW was struggling to open the clear packaging.

Further questioning revealed that item she was after

was contained in this blue plastic bubble.

Note the raised area in this shot.

Flip blue over it becomes white and

an even smaller outline appears.

 

All this packaging  for such a small product.

Shame on you Purina.

This was something Father-in-law had leftover

after his dog passed away recently.

It is and will be the only time we use the product.

Not an Odd Ball photo this week, more an oddity which seems to be on the increase on our internet.

Over recent weeks I have been posting items

for sale for my Father-in-law.

He is downsizing.

One such item was this hand painted vase.

Below is the advertisement I posted on Facebook after researching how old ‘Vintage’ items should be to be called ‘vintage’

Approx 10 cm high
Excellent condition
The 1978 image was found inside the top
Definitely a New Vintage (20+ years) piece, and well on the way to being a True Vintage (50+ years) item……based on the 1978 date.

Deceased estate and downsizing, no further use.
Local pick up only at…….

 

And this is a comment I received:

You need a new calculator as its only 39 years young not more than 50 as you’ve stated! 2017- 1978 = 39.

Two bollards usually have morning joggers,

fishermen and the occasional photographer

to keep them company.

This past week we have had to heavy fogs.

Geelong’s main Street at 0724 on Thursday.

Nearby by Avalon Airport was closed for four hours.

A plane from Sydney, about a 60 minute flight,

took two and a half hours because it could land.

Twelve circuits of Avalon,

tried to land and aborted at 250 feet.

Number 1 Son was booked on a 0900 flight

and did not get away until 1300.

Behind that fog is a beach and a yacht club marina.

Father in Law sold his house last week

and Saturday was spent cleaning out

those things he wanted to take with him

and those to be sold, given away

or just plain rubbish.

When we found this the first comment was;

‘So that’s where the budgie went.’

An unusual item to be found in a garage,

to say the least, and obviously not a budgie.

Perhaps a starling.
