My contribution for

this week’s challenge

Letter-V

(Needs to start with V…contain at least 6 letters)

Monaco during our 2016 holiday/Vacation

Part of the Moorabool Valley near Geelong.

Most buildings in Amsterdam are Vertical, however,

some do lean like the Tower of Pisa.

Even from an altitude of 40,000 feet it is difficult

to appreciate the Vastness of the Antarctic ice pack.

I always The Creation of Adam would dominate

the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican City.

  However it was swallowed up by surrounding panels.

According to Wikipedia it is substantial

9 ft 2 in × 18 ft 8 inches, it is so far above

one’s head it seems you could

hold it in your hands.

this week’s challenge

Letter-U

(Needs to have letters O and U in the word)

Again a random selection of U with O words.South Africa’s Drackensberg Mountains.

  My new second-hand Ford Courier Ute…first day home.

After an early start for nearly an hour drive

to reach the Point Lonsdale Lighthouse

for a sunrise which was rather uninspiring.

My bonus shots came as I walked

back to the car.

This rainbow formed in the east and

lasted for about two minutes.

Hard  to believe this elephant

turned rogue when his mother died

and killed six hippopotamuses.

 Since having a nasty removed from my scalp

in mid-November, I have been wearing

a dressing, much to my disgust,

which every now and then starts to

let me know there is a healing wound up there.

See below.

If you are about to have breakfast, lunch or dinner…

maybe wait! 🙂

All the medical  professionals tell me

not to worry it is ‘just some slough‘.

I would call it puss or something similar.

Thank you Cee for including the ‘ou’ combination.

I may not have thought of it otherwise.

Fortunately, it is just about healed

and today it has a mate.

Smaller, less dangerous.

But still has to heal.

Letter-TT

(Needs to have two T’s anywhere in the word)

Many giraffes sighted in Africa came with

oxpeckers attached.

Limpy was so named because of a deformed foot.

We were told that this deformity did no hinder her

when attacking a swift-footed impala.

We did not test her ability.

Letters create words which create sentences

so we can communicate.

The wettest we have ever seen our block was

after a mid summer down pour.

This pool of water is where we now

park our cars….the garage.

Acacia trees, commonly known as wattle trees,

commence blooming in July.

Along with daffodils they are the first signs

that Spring is on the way.

A wattlebird on our clothesline.

A vignette around cherries,

around Corio Bay…

and around this dahlia.

Letter-S

(Colours that start with the Letter S)

~~~~~
Short, quick and  to the point this week.
A sepia coloured Corio Bay.
This has to be sea-green.
After talking to jewellers about sapphires
for a ring for MGW, I think I can safely say
that the blues here would be found in sapphires.
Finally, hoping that this is a scarlet coloured dahlia.
My contribution for
this week’s challenge
Letter-R
(At least 6 letters and letter R)
Random Rs from
anywhere, again, this week.
AND just noted my interpretation is partially incorrect.
I was sssooo certain that the word
just needed to include letter R.
~~~~~

Easy one to begin…

Rhinoceros in Kruger National Park.

This maybe the modern version of

an airship waiting at an airport.

Freshly picked cherries.

An aerosol.

Eastern Rosella Parrot.

We commonly call them Rosellas.

Reflections.

Finally, Botswana’s giant…

Aardvark.

Letter-Q

(Needs to have letter Q)

Random Qs from

anywhere, again, this week.

~~~~~
Easy one to begin…
Jonquils in bloom.
While this squabble is all in play,
they have turned into the real deal
on several occasions…usually over food or
Candi biting Taji’s luscious ears
just a bit too hard.
One definition of Quibble is to raise an objection…
which I did on more than one occasion last year
when Candi was destroying this bed.
Now we have a brand new mattress inside
waiting until the day we think Candi is past
all the stupidity of youth.
Surfing at Torquay Beach
Hopefully this is a member of the squid family.
I’m not too good with colours, but both this
and the next image…
are tagged as turquoise.
I live in hope!
Mosquito repellant
A London Squirrel.
A view from Queenscliffe, down on the coast.
Was playing around with Photoshop
hence the over blue water.
And only fitting to finish with
Australia’s flag bearer…
a QANTAS jet
Random Ps from
First up is…
Three Pairs of seagulls.
Patterns in a wall in York.
An icon of Paris.
A sad old house with its broken Panes of glass.
We were told these Colosseum Pavers
were laid when the Colosseum
was opened over 1,900 years ago.
Pink Petals on our Liliums.
Panels of art in the Vatican City
