Milestone-100,000-Views

This Saturday morning (Dec 08, 2018)

I noticed that WoollyMuses blog

has received over 101,000 WordPress hits

since its inception in April 2013.

The 100,000 mark surpassed, unnoticed,

nearly two weeks ago.

Better late than never 🙂

Milestone-20,000-Views

Last Monday night (Oct 16,2017)

WoollyMuses blog

clicked over 20,000 views for the year (to date).

I have seen other blog stats which have

attained this milestone in a matter of months

since first being published, however,

this is a first for WoollyMuses.

This morning, Saturday, October 21, 2017

It was also nice to see that WoollyMuses

has received 72,952 WordPress hits

since its inception in April 2013.

Happy Birthday to Taji

Happy Birthday to Taji

Happy Birthday to Taji

She’s ONE today, you see!

taji_8221

From this little bundle in January…8 weeks old…

taji_0200

to this on Sunday November 20…and

countless dollars worth of damage to our garden.

Looking at either photo you couldn’t imagine it could you?

I am a day late….better late than never.

My contribution for this week’s

Industrial or Commercial Buildings

york_0655

The old Mill House in York.

The Nero Cafe, also in York.

We breakfasted at Cafe Nero and

found staff to be friendly and helpful.

The food was also excellent.

burj-al-arab_0212Dubai’s famous Burj Al Arab is certainly

a commercial building.

eiffel-tower_0749And while this Tower may not have

commenced its life as a commercial venture

I’m sure it adds substantially to

the French economic figures.

Housing – How the other half lived

After posting the refugee camp, I thought I would

go in the opposite direction.

schonbrunn_palace_0006

The front yard of the Shonbrunn Palace…

inside…

 and the back balcony.

We were told that this palace was

the Summer Palace and known as The Cottage

because it only had 1,400 rooms.

The Winter Palace consisted of 3,000 rooms,

so I guess it was a cottage, comparatively speaking.

A vast difference to the accommodation in the refugee camp.

My contribution for this week’s

Houses

~~~~~
My focus is on housing this week.
refugee-camp-calais_0115
This morning the demolition of the Calais refugee camp made
a two second visual grab on our electronic media.
refugee-camp-calais_0082
In the comfort of our air-conditioned coach
we passed this camp twice in September.
refugee-camp-calais_0120
Tucked behind a high barbed wire fence, we were told,
were 30,000 refugees while the internet claims a high of 10,000.
Whatever the real number these homes/housing
are now being destroyed so the occupants can/will move on.
