Below are some shots taken while…

admiring the Orakei Korako Geothermal

area in New Zealand.

Not necessarily in order…

but they do give an idea of…

what is was like to  walk this area.

 

 

It is hard to imagine that anyone would

wander off the path and signage

would be required.

I would have loved more handrails…

than there was.

This was one of the early indications that

it was not safe to step off the paths.

 

And this was nearing the end of

our 1.8 kilometre and 666 steps walk.

Had I known it was so long and so many steps

I may have thought twice.

However, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience,

and not too many others around

to spoil the  enjoyment.
