Apart from Bill Haley the only rolls I think of are hay rolls.

After man handling small square bales

for most of my working life

it was a Godsend when these came on the scene.

And just before we  moved off the farm I had this lot for sale.

This sort of money would have been wonderful.

A wander around our garden this morning

showed these signs of April.

Miniature Agapanthus have

long since bloomed.

Our new hydrangea which looked

so bright a while back…

…is still adding some colour to its corner of the world.

Some of our deciduous trees are showing the stress

of a long dry summer and early autumn.

March was dry and April is not

shaping up much better.

A hundred metres or so along

the road at Ohope Beach…

…and we had to stop again.

They are just called Daisies in our garden.

I guess there is a botanical name.

They seemed quite happy in

September sun on the dunes of

Ohope Beach,

Bay of Plenty,

New Zealand

The day I took this photo, I was positive that the upside

would be improved behaviour as they aged.

Taji will be 4 later this year while Candi was 3 in January.

This scene no longer greets us, however,

from one day to the next we are not sure

what they are going to get up to.

One behavioural issue is solved,

deep breath, and another commences.

Ahhhhhh!!!!!  😀 😀 😀
