Last week while in Melbourne….
I noticed these Christmas decorations above me.
In fact they stretched all the way along the
Bourke Street Pedestrian Mall.
Many, many years ago I would have been run down by cars and trams.
Today I only need to be aware of trams.
Towering above all these decorations,
on the corner of Bourke and Elizabeth Streets,
was the Post Office tower.

Thank you. I like to visit cities…would not like to live in one. I don’t think I have ever seen Melbourne look as dressed up as it is now, although I must confess to not visiting Melbourne this time of year for a very long time. Always too busy working too far away.

Great photos. Have you done some editing with the first few photos? I especially like the first image – the colours are great. 😀

Thank you. And guilty. The day was sunny and I was playing around with settings on a newish camera. Over exposed all shots by about one stop. Had to darken them as much as I could, to be useful photos, in Picasa. The post office required the least editing. I like the colours also and hope to venture back and have a ‘take two’ photo shoot.

It just makes it more interesting with the over exposure and focuses on the colours. Great work. 😀
