My contribution for this week’s challenge…
Shine
~~~~~
The first two photos are re-posts but they do fit
the shine, reflection theme of this challenge, I think.
Part of Geelong’s foreshore with Geelong CBD in the background.
A similar night scene.
Also Corio Bay but taken last Thursday morning around 1000
just before Camera Club meeting commenced.
Around 1400 on Thursday I stopped to photograph
this crop wave in a fairly stiff breeze.
About 1000 on Geelong’s Foreshore yesterday morning.
Probably not that unusual, but for October it is.
We measured 68 points of rain this morning.
It was the longest and steadiest downpour
we have had for some time.
Decided to bed down and feed the dogs an early tea
as we were going out and the rain ceased a few minutes later.
Always happens!!
I especially love the first two, Woollly.
Hi w – the two reposts do fit super well!
And the others do too – all so interesting and whew – sounds very wet!
Thank you. It is wet but I’m not complaining too often we have had the rain tap turned off with the commencement of daylight saving – first weekend of October – and not turned on until April or May. We live in a rain shadow and every bit helps, particularly for the garden.
The colours in the first photo are fantastic. Glad you got some rain. We need some desperately but I think it is going to come in a form that we will wish we didn’t have.
Thank you…it’s one of my favourites also. As for the rain….I think it rained all the time we were away and has continued since. However, on November 4 our No. 2 son is getting married, so it would be nice for a few fine days before hand….including November 4.
I’ll keep the fingers crossed for no rain end Oct/beginning Nov. Although isn’t it lucky if it rains on a wedding? I hope the day goes well whatever the weather. I have woken to rain this morning that looks as though it is set in. Good if it is as we need it badly.
Thank you and apologies for not replying sooner. I had to check with MGW to see if she had heard of rain on wedding days bringing good luck. I had not. We look like having a fine but cool week ahead and will have to wait a few days to get an idea of the week’s forecast.
Thank you. Latest forecast is 30% chance of 0-0.2 mm of rain. One would be unlucky to get caught in that much rain 🙂
