Or passing under them!! 🙂 During our few days in Italy we were told that we would pass through 171 (Ithink) tunnels. Some very short and no, I did not count.

<gring> Hopefully, at least one of them was The Bridge of Sighs in Venice? 😉

I think that was in the ‘passed under’ category. Would have loved to have passed over The Ponte Vecchio in Florence. Closest we were wass around 400 metres and with dicky feet and knees wasn’t in for a joog to the bridge and back again. However, I do have a excuse to return!! 😀

<smile> Are you familiar with “A Little Romance”, a wonderful film about about a pair of love-crossed teenagers who travel to Venice. They believe if they kiss as they pass under the Bridge of Sighs, their love will last forever.
Yeah, my knee impinged on a few things I wanted to do in India. I’m used to walking everywhere. I’m going to have to learn to take more taxis and transit. <sigh>

1979, with a teenage Diane Lane. And one of Sir Laurence Olivier’s final films. It’s really very sweet.
