My Geelong ophthalmologist has a very old

Waaay back in the 1960s
Simon & Garfunkel penned and/or
at least sang these lyrics:
… Gazing from my window to the streets below
On a freshly fallen silent shroud of snow
I am a rock
I am an island…
When I read this week’s theme I could only think
of being covered by a blanket of snow this week.
Temperatures forecasts for the week were
33, 37, 27, 33, 29 and plunging to 22 on Saturday.
We certainly had our 33 today (Monday)
and may get some relief on Wednesday.
But roll on Saturday.
At least I can gaze upon these images of
our visit to the Athabasca Glacier/Columbia Icefield
last June and remember.
