Wits-End-Weekly-Prompt-Sequences

It was our last night in Africa, 2013.

We had previously met

mother Limpy, but not her cubs.

This evening we were lucky. Playing with Mum’s tail is fun…

especially when I catch it, thought Nosy.

LImpy thinks otherwise and tells the kids

to go and watch the tourists.

Be careful, Nosy , she says as he commences

to stalk the tourists.

Blending in with the foliage he stalks us all the way down to…

…where he takes cover behind some tasty elephant dung.

Rosy soon catches up.

Nosy does want to share his dung and shoves Rosy away.

Rosy…

goes…

rolling…

over…

off the…

pile of elephant…

dung, and on to…

some dry grass.

‘Muuuum’ Rosy wails…

‘Nosy pushed me.

Did you see it, Mum?

Did you?’

***

Although some  of the roll may appear

to be the same photo, I assure readers it isn’t.

In the twenty minutes we were in the company

of those cubs I captured around 300 images.

Upon arriving back at camp I overheard

one of our fellow travellers commenting

the he had taken nearly 800 photos

during our sixteen day trip.

I averaged around 800 per day.
