Geelong is about 80 kilometres South West of Melbourne..both on Port Philip Bay. Geelong is also Victoria’s second-largest city and can be reached by train (about 1 hour) or ferry across Port Phillip Bay (about 90 minutes from memory). Because I was only wanting the Ferry experience I used an early morning ferry to Melbourne and returned by the next train.

1975 I did a camping trip up through the centre to Darwin. Well, didn’t quite make Darwin as it was closed to visitors after the Christmas Eve cyclone of 74. Was a wonderful 3 weeks and still in contact with some of fellow campers

Thank you Tina. Re- The 12 Apostles..I would have said only 6….however, the link below puts it at 8. Possibly only ever 9 exists in the first place. My photo is the typical Western view/postcard image. Turning to the east and there are several stacks behind where that photo was taken. Are they part of the formation as well?
