the faculty or state of being able to see

April 29th, 2016 I was told that I had

an A-Typical melanoma on the retina of my right eye.

Doctors said and I quote:

We can radiate it but may affect your vision.

We can try and biopsy it,

but that may affect your vision.

The best course of action would be to remove it.

Apparently removing one’s eye

does not affect one’s vision.

Five years on and I still have my eye,

although I have had a melanoma removed

from my nose and eyelid and

hopefully, all is well.

Back for a check-up again next week.

One Word Sunday Challenge:...Reflection

stick fast to a surface or substance

To ensure my recycled fence palings would

stay adhered to the box frame,

they were glued and fixed in place

with a small nail gun.

Finally, because I feared the palings might

slip off the nails, I countersank two screws

at the end of each paling.

A little like wearing a belt and braces,

however, it looks better and liberal quantities

of liquid nails (glue) blocked up

many arachnid access points.
