Thank you but the bottom right corner…grass…is a bit off putting.

The darkening enhancement of the trees and water really worked well. Something about that grass stands out too much. My eyes keep being drawn to it as a focal point when I’d rather admire the trees. Interesting to see the stages you went through.

I have tired toning down the grass but it is still eye catching and takes away from the rest of the photo. Bad composition spoils the photo.

I have learning curves in my own photography. Someone said to me once: “Why do you take so many shots of the same subject?” I do it because I’m hoping for one result that is pleasing. Actually your original has wonderful composition.

I’m glad you like the composition..I’m never quite sure. I was concentrating on the trees and river so much that I did not realise how much bank was in the shot. I have a toned down version which I intended to added to the post this morning…then ‘Murphy’ took control of my day!! Hopefully will be able to upload this evening and will message you when/if I do so.

Can’t wait to see what you’ve done with this grassy challenge.

I have added it to this post. However, that was last night…in the cold light of day I am still not happy with it. I like the tree etc in the third image so I will have another go over the weekend.
It’s Father’s Day Down Under tomorrow and we are just heading off for for a Saturday Father’s Day Brunch with the Billy Lids (kids).

Enjoy your celebration. Don’t fuss too much about one shot. Actually the fourth one is a lot tamer with the grass. Good job!

We had a great morning, just had our PDIL missing due to work commitments. In the we had afternoon tea with my in-laws, for Father’s Day.

I meant to add in my previous reply that I have often heard that same question also. With storage so cheap why not? I have added a fourth version of that photo…the grass has been toned down considerably. Must away…have a good weekend.

Each of them appeals to me too. I was going to say the last one was my favorite but then I looked at the others again and I’m not sure!
