Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge-Sight

My contribution for this week’s

This week I decided to show post the same picture three times,

the original and two slightly different versions.

river_0009aAustralian is known for some very bland (colour wise) scenery…

harsh sun and bland colours and this is what we see.

This scene is typical of a southern Victorian summer,

even though it was only taken at Horsham (inland)

last Thursday….late winter.

river_0009bWhile pondering what to post I played around with Photoshop,

moved the ‘clarity’ slider in the opposite direction with this result.

Grass a bit too green.

river_0009cThis final image is the result of trying to tone down

the green and enhance the far background.

Also managed to darken shadows.

The water was a dull brown muddy colour.

Each one appeals to me for different reasons…how about you?

Or maybe this version?

  1. The darkening enhancement of the trees and water really worked well. Something about that grass stands out too much. My eyes keep being drawn to it as a focal point when I’d rather admire the trees. Interesting to see the stages you went through.
