Back to St James Park in london.

I spent ages trying to eradicate two large clumps of this bush

from around the family home in my youth.

A pick and shovel were the tools of trade.

And new shoots would sprout while I was having a cup of tea.

I know it as Castor Oil Bush.

Not sure it that is anywhere near correct.

But to find it in the middle of London

and only a five-minute walk

from Buckingham Palace…..

 

And not far from the above monstrosity was

this beautiful Dahlia…and friend.
