Valentine’s Day Roses
on Friday afternoon at a nearby
Safeway supermarket.
The source of these roses
from previous years.
Lockdown panic buying had already set in,
and there were no red roses.

Red Roses are so expensive at Valentines

I have started purchasing flowers at the supermarket. Safeway flowers seem to last longer and were, therefore, better value. We no longer have a local florist.

I’m sure your sweetie will love anything you give her and these flowers will last so much longer than roses. As much as I love roses I always feel badly when they don’t open before they wilt away, which is often the case with Valentine’s Day roses. Not sure why this happens but I’ve told my husband not to bother with roses, especially this time of year.
