My contribution for this week’s challenge…
Endurance
~~~~~
The second day of our Botswana Safari saw us enduring a long drive over salt pans…
where only a few wildlife specimens were sighted.
We arrived, late in the day, in time to set up camp before dark.
LeKhubu Island is a rocky outcrop surrounded by salt pans, and…
covered by small to huge boab trees which have endured for hundreds of years.
And produced beautiful backdrops for countless sunsets and sunrises.
The two trees featured in my sunset photo are small by comparison
to the largest tree on the island
Thank you. It was wonderful…enjoyed every minute…from the moment a lion roared (and I mean roared), about 20 metres from our tent, through the salt pans, the 1,000 plus elephant sighting to Victoria Falls. Our group is already planning for two years time!!!
