Holden were an Australian made subsidiary of General Motors. The first Holden was made in 1948-49 and the last model the VF Commodore rolled off the line in 2014. In the USA it is known as the Chevy.
According to the internet, our Commodore and the Chevy which caught fire are one and the same.

Wow! I don’t follow the NASCAR. I had heard that the Chevy had caught fire at some point. Thanks for sharing this information. Holden was in business for quite sometime.

I still have a Holden (8 yrs old now)…one of the last produced in Australia.
