We grow some cherries each year with

the exception of last season when it rained

so much there were not enough cherries

on the tree to pick.

 

These next two images may seem odd to many,

however, after living on a sheep and cattle farm

for 55 years it was not uncommon to have to

deliver a lamb or three during the lambing season.

There was always a sense of satisfaction to see them

grow into a marketable lamb.

Delivering calves was a less frequent occurrence than lambs.

 

This is the first year I have tried some tomatoes in the garden.

I  purchased a Cherry Tomato and a Grosse Lisse seedling.

The cherry tomatoes have been producing an explosion of flavour

and eldest granddaughter kept asking for more

till there was no more ripe fruit on the bush.
