First on my Big Five list is the elephant.
Elephants are not afraid of people…
…are only to ready to tell tourists to clear off…
…However, they are not frightend
to press their point of view.
On the other hand Leopards spend a lot
of their time sleeping.
The African or Cape Buffalo
The Black Rhino is another member of the Five.
However, the White Rhino is not a member of the Big Five.
The White rhinoceros is taken from the Afrikaans word
describing its mouth: “wyd”, meaning “wide”.
Early English settlers misinterpreted the “wyd” for “white”.
It is also sometimes called the square-lipped rhinoceros.
