Melbourne in November…well nearly the end of November.

Chritmas_0040Christmas decorations in November!?

Chritmas_0045I think I have worked out why the years are passing by so quickly.

We have nearly two months of Christmas Decorations.

About mid January Easter eggs will be on sale.

Chritmas_0055So nearly two months of Christmas and

just over two months of Easter egg sales….

Chritmas_0057

leaves only 8 months of the year for normality.

No wonder the years pass so quickly.

Last Thursday’s BW in colour.
pavers_0010

As mentioned previously, not much difference

between BW and colour.
green_0598

I think this looks nice both ways.
lipstick_0606

Even though I have some vision problems with reds and greens,

this look better in colour.

Christmas_0593Thought this made a strong BW but

is also a strong colour image.

Cee-Black-White Challenge-100-Paces

~~~~~
Cee’s Black and White Challenge:
100 Paces.
~~~~~

A few weeks ago my car needed a service and

as usual to fill in some time and gain some exercise,

I set off on a walk around Geelong’s foreshore,

camera in hand.

foreshore_1532Any part of the CBD in Geelong is not far from the beaches

and so, on this early October day

I found myself  wandering along the foreshore

of Western Beach.

Cunningham Pier, which is in the extreme right of this photo,

is the line of demarcation between the

Eastern Beach and Western Beach.

foreshore_1492As with most beach fronts there is the obligatory

trees, lawn, picnic table and barbeques

for tourists and locals alike.

foreshore_1545Also a drinking tap to alleviate dehydration and…

foreshore_1522at this time of year nature is telling us that spring

is just around the corner, or has sprung!

foreshore_1493I love beach areas, sea, not sand, and

in the early hours of the morning,

before the rest of the world before

the hustle and bustle reaches its peak,

Corio Bay is at its best.

Cee’s Black and White Challenge:

Patterns.

~~~~~
My Black and White patterns were all found on Geelong’s Eastern Beach precinct.
pattern_1453I was really excited when I found this photo.
A pattern…then I  realised that it was nearly black when I took the photo.
It is part of a palm tree trunk…flipped 90 degrees.
pattern_1451A board walk…again nearly black and white toning.
pattern_1457My destination looms.  The Wharf Shed…
and a belated Father’s Day lunch and Sunday outing,
nearly a month ago, from the boys.
Father’s Day is the first Sunday in September, in Australia.
pattern_1456
Another shot taken with patterns in minds, though not much…
pattern-col_1456original colour as you can see in this shot.
pattern_1471And one last shot, taken with only one post in mind.
Weekly Photo Challenge ~ Lines to Patterns
~~~~~

Has been a busy day so used what I could to create a Lines to Patterns post this week.

~~~~~
line-1_0387
One line…
~~~~~

line-2_0387

…joins with another…

~~~~~
line-3_0387
…which intersects with still other lines…
~~~~~

line-4_0389

…which altogether create a pattern.
