Favourite Song Lyrics

“What A Wonderful World”

I see trees of green…

Red roses too…

I see them bloom

For me and you…

And I think to myself

What a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue…

And clouds of white…

The bright blessed day…

The dark sacred night…

And I think to myself

What a wonderful world.

The colours of the rainbow,

So pretty in the sky…

Are also on the faces

Of people going by…

I see friends shaking hands

Saying, “How do you do?”

They’re really saying

“I love you”

I hear babies cry…

I watch them grow

They’ll learn much more

Than I’ll never know…

And I think to myself

What a wonderful world

Yes, I think to myself

What a wonderful world

Straight lines of trees form a basic geometric figure.

A building frame created of rectangles and triangles

And Victoria’s National Gallery of Art has…

…its rectangles and triangles on the outside

which Melburnians’ either love or hate.

Circular barrel ends.

More Circles…

…and triangles…

…kept this farm machinery…

…mobile during its working life.

a container consisting of one or more cells, in which chemical energy
is converted into electricity and used as a source of power.

First definition

Second definition.

And a third battery.

MY battery was flattened (quickly) this afternoon

when aging joints and soft earth combined

to send me tumbling to the ground.

I hit either the axle or the concrete block

Just above my right hip and expect to have

more aches and pains in  the morning

than I have now.

If that is possible.

My new toy (Nikon D750) was,

thankfully, unscathed.  🙂

Fandango’s One Word Challenge:  Battery

Not just a wheel on either side. Many cogs/wheels combine to ensure

that the seed is sown properly.

Now converted to seating outside so passers by

can sit, drink, eat and chat.

A much larger wheel.

The London Eye.

A great view just on dusk.

Geelong’s own version of the London Eye.

A somewhat smaller Ferris Wheel

on the Eastern Beach precinct..

Benches 2

This week recycled machinery.

An old plough…

now serving (with some modifications)

as a handy bench seat.

An equally old drill/combine/seeder,

also now serving as a bench on one side, and…

a bench and picnic table on the other side.

Wednesday this week I had a meeting

on our tree farm with the forestry manager.New tube stock will be planted shortly.

However at the moment this machine is…

turning poisoned, coppice into…

into fairly neat windrows/mounds for planting.

The planting should have taken place last winter.

Our first harvested paddock now

looks like this three years on.

However, all these trees are coppice growth

which were too large to poison

when contracts were signed.

Hope you enjoyed.
