warty

caused by infection with certain viruses
and occurring typically on thehands or feet.

Is a warthog warty?

Well, sort of, according to Google

However, the “warts” that give warthogs their

name are actually protective bumps.

FOWChallenge-Vestige

~~~~~
vestige
a trace or remnant of something that is disappearing
or no longer exists.
****
This African rhino may be one of the last vestiges of
African/Asian rhinos which numbered
around 500,000 rhinos in Africa and Asia
at the start of the twentieth century.
This number had plummeted to
a mere 70,000 by the 1970s.
Fast forward another 50 years and this number
has been again decimated to
just 27,000 rhinos in the wild,
mainly due to poaching
and loss  of habitat.
