People…

…who need people…

If  only the iPad operators, in our group

stood this far back from the crowd,

instead of in front.

Will always remember these

two young ladies from Amsterdam.

After asking would they mind posing,

the girl on the left hit me for 5 Euro,

and kept straight face long enough

for mine to express the shock I felt,

before she burst out  laughing.

The villains 🙂

Mostly we have met…

or seen people helping others…

…in various ways.

Is the photographer helping

her model or vice versa?

The ‘shoot’ was for a tertiary

photography course.

Maybe they were studying

the same course.

Rome’s Trevi Fountain

was one of the biggest disappointments

during our visit in my opinion.

I had mixed it with another Roman fountain

which I had seen in a movie or on television.

That’s right I had not done any research.

I like to see things first hand and

I feel the internet can spoil the ‘Wow’ moment.

I can say I was surprised when

we came upon Trevi Fountain.

It was surrounded by people who

were totally disconnected with other visitors

Planning, bored or discussing the photo

they had taken a few minutes earlier,

while others tried to get a clear shot.

All the ‘sitters’ were utterly disconnected

to the needs, or wants,

of their fellow tourists.

I initial thought was that this

was a Poinsettia.

However, I believe Google and I

disagreed momentarily.

Now I agree with Google and think they may be

varieties of Solenostemon (Coleus)

If we are wrong please advise and

I will  correct my post.

Whatever the outcome the were again found

on the

Isle of Capri.

Unless there are two

very similar flowers in Capri…

…I may have posted some of

these flowers recently

thinking they were potted.

However, the above photo

is a cropped portion of…

….this one and we are still on the

Isle of Capri.

While visiting Europe a few years ago,

I found it intriguing,

…that buildings like the Colosseum were constructed

nearly 2,000 years ago and are still largely intact.

Well…almost.

And wile the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel is talked of

on a regular basis, many other churches have similar,

though not as well-known,

art work on their ceilings also.

And  while this is not the Duomo in Florence,

it has a similar hole in the roof.

I would love to return and spend a week or so

in many of European cities.
