Pouring concrete for a house slab.

Not the same house but didn’t look too good.

Because this was all that was left of

the Khama Rhino Sanctuary’s amenities in Botswana

when we visited  in 2014….

All the amenities were contained….

in temporary buildings during our overnight visit.

Construction  on a new version of this temporary building

had commenced and should be completed now.

Even the street we walked in Brugge was

under construction in 2016.

Cee’s Black and White Challenge:

Wheels.

~~~~~
 A selection of wheels…
wheel_0015bwIndian motorbike.
wheel_0016bwAbout a mid 1970s Holden Kingswood wheel on a
GTS model…read ‘souped up’…bigger engine etc.
wheel_0018bwThe Torana was a small car of the 1960s and early 1970s.
This one was probably the model after my first Torana.
If you have ever seen the Bathurst 500 (miles), now 1000 (km),
car race you will know that this little car won
many of the 60s and 70s races at Bathurst, NSW.
I have enlarge this image so that I could read the badge on the front
of this car.
Although I have not seen this one in action,
I now believe it a USA car, but built in Germany.
It is an amphibious car and was made in the early to mid 60s.
Google ‘ampficar’
The Wikipedia article complete with images
Its bright red paint attracted me.
Red cars go 5% faster in Australia…
don’t know about other parts of the world 🙂
Another 2014 VF Holden Commodore wheel.
I am also calling this a wheel…it belongs to
General Motors Holden
an Australian made car…only for the nest few years though.
Things Found in a Kitchen.
Where would we be without one of these?
chair_4407And kitchen chairs are a necessity.
Maybe better called dining room chairs…
but they are around our kitchen table 🙂
copper-kettle_0003This kettle (never been used) is over thirty years old.
I won it in a raffle and was promptly told by one of the
organisers that I  ‘…didn’t deserve to win it….’
kettle_0009And this, of course, is the kettle we ‘saved’ money on last year .
If you  are interested in last year’s story about our money
saving expedition, or have not read it, just click on this link.
It just so happens that that post is also about kitchen appliances!
Thinking about this challenge, I discovered that…
chair_4406there was construction everywhere.  In buffet doors…
chair_4407and kitchen chairs.
building_4416Houses require many tradesmen…
during their construction.
table-chair_4428And where-ever you find a picnic table like this…
jetty_4429it’s almost certain that this
will constructed nearby.
