Something we did not factor into our trip… Canada’s Columbia Ice Fields

was falling snow.

A pleasant surprise for all of us who

had never travelled to our snow fields.

A catch up post.

Falling water in Banff’s…

…Cascade Gardens.

The ‘fall’ may not be any higher than the

Cascade Garden falls, however,

Huka Falls a few minutes out of Taupo,

New Zealand wins, hands down,

for power and quantity.

Two continents…two unexpected beauties.

The Million Dollar view

at Banff,

Canada

One place I did not to expect to be so beautiful

was on the Somme Battlefields in France.

After having lived on a farm for most of my life…

I found the fields around the

Villers Bretonneux Australian Memorial…

unexpectedly beautiful.

People…

…who need people…

If  only the iPad operators, in our group

stood this far back from the crowd,

instead of in front.

Will always remember these

two young ladies from Amsterdam.

After asking would they mind posing,

the girl on the left hit me for 5 Euro,

and kept straight face long enough

for mine to express the shock I felt,

before she burst out  laughing.

The villains 🙂

Mostly we have met…

or seen people helping others…

…in various ways.

Is the photographer helping

her model or vice versa?

The ‘shoot’ was for a tertiary

photography course.

Maybe they were studying

the same course.

Geelong Street art.

Ceiling art in Florence.

Butchart Gardens…

Vancouver Island

Canada.

Bourke Street

Melbourne, Victoria.

Somewhere in the French Countryside.

This may say something about my taste in art,

but it is  one of my favourite images.

A one off, never, to be captured again image

of a spider web in a canola crop a few years ago.

MGW doe not share my enthusiasm.

It can even be turned into bright, stronger colours

if that is your taste.

This was my first piece of photography art.

The now defunct Weekly Photo Challenge

wanted a CD cover design.

It interested it is simply a shot of water in Corio Bay.

And I love the mood in these two images…

…of Melbourne, last week.
