caravan

group of people, especially traders or pilgrims,
travelling together across a desert
in Asia or North Africa.

Many different groups of people

travelling the same route

…visiting the same places and although

previously strangers, many friendships were made

during their time on the road together.

One-Word-Sunday-Homonym

~~~~~
~~~~~

My homonym word

is BANK.

Taken on the BANK of the

Wimmera River at Horsham,

Victoria.

On the bank of the River Seine

in Paris, France.

Apologies for the quality of my

Challenger Bank photo.

Among Melbourne’s skyline it was

only about 3-4 millimetres wide

in the original.

Again a tight crop in a bigger photo.

The People’s Bank

in Beaune,

France.

We/I have to stay with the

English version of BANK as the

French versions are totally different.

Berge de rivière…river bank

and

Banque populaire…People’s Bank

One Word Sunday Challenge:   Homonym

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge-Roofs

~~~~~
Roofs from everywhere.
Beginning with a Carousel roof
in Beaune, France.
Still in Beaune a Band Rotunda.
Another Beaune image
taken through window,
I suspect.
Moving on to Paris and
this image captured from
the Eiffel Tower.
Sadly I also suspect that this is a section of the
Notre Dame de Paris roof
that is no more….or at least badly damaged.
The roof/ceiling of Platform 9 and 3/4.
If you are a Harry Potter fan you will
know that this can be found in
London’s King’s Cross Station.
Somewhat closer to home
an Arcade roof in Melbourne
Back in Geelong, the slate roof of a Church.
I commenced  with a Carousel an now
I will end with another,
The Geelong Carousel.
Many years ago we named the
foreground artwork, ‘The Sharks Teeth’
Too many ‘Jaws’ movies I think.
Only found out this year that
they are actually sailing boats.
Even though I have seen this type of boat
on the Bay several times there was no connection
I think they always will be the ‘Sharks Teeth’  🙂
Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge-Letter-O
~~~

My contribution for

this week’s challenge

Letter-O

(Needs to have the letter O anywhere in the word)

Random Os from

Florence, Beaune, Geelong and Sydney

this week.

~~~~~
First up is…
the Bell Tower of Florence.
Does Florence count? 🙂
A band rotunda in Beaune, France.
A New Holland Honey Eater courtesy of our back yard.
The Coca-Cola sign in Kings Cross, Sydney.
Of course, photos of Sydney would not
be complete without one of the
Harbour Bridge.
~~~~~~

I have counted twenty-three Os in this post, above this line
