Very much closer to home.
Vancouver Island (BC)
Eight kilometres, or miles, to come or go,
or the eighth post
When the minute hand reaches number 8
the time is 40 minutes past the hour
or only 20 minutes until the next hour has passed.
It may have only been campfire fare but we
ate well on our Botswana Safari.
A wet Sunday afternoon in
a Murano Restaurant…
…where one-and-all ate well,
drank well, and became
merrier as the afternoon drew to a close
an emotional state or reaction.
Feeling cooler……………………and worried
Without a doubt…
…our visit to Murano…
…in the rain…
…was made much better…
…by the kaleidoscope of colourful buildings
lining the streets.
An eclectic range of art...
…admired by an eclectic group of travellers.
The same travellers enjoyed this
Viennese collection a few days earlier.
then its White Tower will crumble and
the country will be plunged into chaos.
Happiness varies depending on where I am.
…happiness is good food,
in good surroundings.
…happiness is playing with the dog…
…shopping online or in person.
The only condition is that I
When that’s all done…well we can
learn from the animals can’t we?
Also at home, happiness is reading and comparing
thoughts with MGW should we happen to read
the same book or author.
On our first wet day…
…what better way to spend a Sunday afternoon…
…than lunching in this lovely Murano Restaurant
where many, many words were formed
and the odd glass of wine consumed.

This week’s images
come from Italy and France.
Venice and Murano…
…provided us with our first wet weather day
since leaving Australia.
More wet weather at Pompeii where even under cover
colourful umbrellas were required
to keep rain at bay.
