Word-of-Day-Challenge-Spicy

~~~~~
spicy
exciting or entertaining,
especially through being mildly indecent
Some of the images on this….
…toilet wall would have been deemed
more than ‘mildly indecent’,
a few decades ago.
Word-of-Day-Challenge-Bizarre
~~~~~

bizarre

very strange or unusual.

While no-one actually used the word ‘bizarre’…

…to describe these toilets…

….the unusual decor…

…certainly provided a talking point…

…among us for a while.

First up a lovely view from…

…our Bed and Breakfast at Matta Matta,

New Zealand.

Just a few minutes drive from

The Hobbiton Movie Set.

Bucklands B and B from memory.

The rest is situated a world away…

in Vienna’s Schonbrunn Palace Gardens.

We could have spent all day

wandering through these gardens.

However, we had to be thankful for a few hours.

~~~~~
highfalutin
(especially of speech, writing, or ideas)
pompous or pretentious.
~~~~

The general consensus was that..

…there would have been a fair degree of

pomposity and pretentiousness

within and around

Schonbrunn and Versailles Palaces.

During our travels of the past twelve months

we were fortunate to visit several gorgeous gardens.

Butchart Gardens, Schönbrunn Palace, Versailles Palace

and finally Hamilton Gardens in New Zealand.

The Gardens which I really wanted to visit were

The Butchart Gardens on Canada’s Vancouver Island.

We were so pleased that we arrived a day or two early.

This gave us time to look around Victoria

prior to our tour commencing.

Because of this we spent much more time exploring

Butchart the our tour had allocated.

We were just finishing a walk through the Sunken Gardens

when were were scheduled to leave.

Public transport took us back to Victoria

and we both would recommend this to anyone visiting

Victoria and Butchart Gardens.

Tuesday-PC-Wk170-Sculpture

~~~~~~
While these two terms are related to each other, they do not mean exactly the same.
statue is a carved or cast figure of a person or animal.
Sculpture is a piece of art that is made by carving or molding clay, stone, metal, etc.
A sculpture that contains a human or animal figure can be termed as a statue.
I miss-defined the statue/sculpture definition,
so this is take two.
Vienna, Austria.
Avignon, France
St Paul de Vence,
France
Taupo,
New Zealand
Statue or sculpture.
Grouse Mountain,
Vancouver, BC.
Not a theme in which I have
a wide variety to chose from.
One of several along Geelong’s foreshore.
Although this is a Pompeii toilet, I have been wondering if it is for the wealthier clientele, and…
…this for the not so wealthy at Pompeii.
I could have spent most of the evening
looking at this restrooms in Vienna.
Such were the furnishings you could
actually relax while…… 🙂
