delight

please (someone) greatly.
“an experience guaranteed to delight both young and old”

In October 2016 it was a delight to take…

High Tea in the

Burj Al Arab’s

Sky View Bar

(200 metres above sea level, on the 27th floor)

and…

watch the sun setting over

The Palm Jumeirah,

in Dubai.

30th Wedding Anniversary

For our Thirtieth Wedding Anniversary

MGW booked us a hot air balloon ride

over Melbourne.

Last year another delightful surprise with

First Class Dining aboard

The Q Train

This year it was High Tea at

the Langham Hotel

in Melbourne.

All experiences could only be described

as delightful outings.

Cee’s-FOTD-Challenge-2019-0218

~~~~~
Back to St James Park in london.
I spent ages trying to eradicate two large clumps of this bush
from around the family home in my youth.
A pick and shovel were the tools of trade.
And new shoots would sprout while I was having a cup of tea.
I know it as Castor Oil Bush.
Not sure it that is anywhere near correct.
But to find it in the middle of London
and only a five-minute walk
from Buckingham Palace…..
And not far from the above monstrosity was
this beautiful Dahlia…and friend.
Was wondering what flower I would post this evening…
…then it dawned on me that I had photos of some roses
purchased for MGW on Wednesday for Valentine’s Day.
Hope everyone had a
Happy Valentine’s Day.
Word-of-Day-Challenge-Holiday
~~~~~

~~~~
Not sure if today’s challenge is referring to Christmas or a holiday/vacation
I’m opting for the latter.
This year we had planned a holiday to Canada and Alaska.
We also planned to visit the huskies
on Mendenhall Glacier at Juneau
 However, thanks to Number 1 Son ‘popping the question’
last New Year’s Eve we had two unplanned visits to New Zealand.
The engagement party weekend in February was hardly a holiday
but we had two weeks in New Zealand later in the year
prior to his/their wedding.
As soon as the latter excursion was thought of
it did not take long for the Hobbit Movie set
to come onto our radar and a visit was duly arranged.
