to exposed parts of their body.

Sun lovers on the French Riviera did not seem

to worry about protecting themselves.

seasonal

relating to or characteristic of a particular season of the year.

~~~~~
Back in September/October I would have posted
this image as seasonal.
A few years ago the camera club to which I belong
found cheap day return airfares to Sydney.
Even though the christmas season was with us
Manly’s Beach was crowded with sun lovers
trying to escape the early summer heat.
However, there is only one season…
…during which these ornaments are…
…on display in our house.
In early December 2015 I took up the offer
of a day trip to Sydney with the Camera Club.
Although the sun was out I didn’t think it hot.
However, this photo shows part of
the Manly Beach crowd on that weekday.
Sydneysiders obviously disagreed with me
and thought it warm enough to warrant
a splash in the  sea.
Father after receiving his wig for his
74th birthday about ten years ago.
That year he had been treated for breast and
at least one other type of cancer…maybe two.
He celebrated his 86th birthday in mid-October.
Too cold for a photography outing this weekend
so I have had a look at some images
which contain people to see what I could find.
Not sure if I noticed the couple before
or after I took the shot, however…
…from the wide angle comes a nice photo of a couple.
This photo…
…and this one…
…blended to create this image posted in
‘Capture the Moment’
for last week’s
Friendly Friday
Similarly at Melbourne’s
Saint KIlda Pier…
…the wide angle shot cropped to focus
on the model and photographer.
Both model and photographer were participating
in this shoot to fulfil requirements
of a course they were taking.
Are these two an ‘item‘?
Maybe…in this crop…
…and maybe not, the more space
they have around them.
From this crowded scene comes many stories.
One of which could be:
The shark was this big, dead set!’
This game of badminton and its two spectators
was found….
…right here on Sydney’s
Manly Beach
Last summer was a bad summer
for fires in Australia.
However, there is rarely a summer when
we don’t have scenes like this
by fires somewhere in our dry land.
January 4th, 2013.
Loch Ard Gorge was the end of our
Great Ocean Road drive
with some Canadian friends.
At around 44/111 degrees C/F
the car park was literally
melting under our feet.
Manly Beach in early December/Summer.
Travel through rural areas in late summer
and you are more than likely to see
this scene repeated regularly.
Cropping stubble has been burned
to facilitate easier sewing to winter crops.
Strangely I thought this practise had died out
in favour of direct drilling and leaving
the stubble to help protect the soil
from wind or water erosion.
…Nice…
…or Sydney’s
Manly Beach…
…when the sun shines and warms our planet,
many of us head to water for a picnic
and a relaxing swim.
