No matter where I have been travelling, many
international flights usually touch down
in Sydney first.
Therefore with the sighting of the
Sydney Harbour Bridge comes a feeling of home.
Sighting Melbourne’s skyline and Victorians
know they are home.

I was going to use some
graffiti style street art
however, walked another path.
Near the
El Alamein Fountain,
King Cross, Sydney,
Australia.
The ‘Gate of Violence’
In the middle of Albertina Platz is the walk-in monument sculpture.
The Monument against War and Fascism
was unveiled in 1988 to preserve the memory
of the darkest era in Austrian history
and is dedicated to all victims of war and fascism.

I don’t have many…
…of the action shots required by this theme.
However, I think the speed at which these cyclists passed by…
…is conveyed by the blurred background.
Sydney’s King’s Cross Station is where
the last two images were taken.
I must have used a flash and I am not certain if
that is a reflection of the Sydney Harbour Bridge,
or a reflection of a poster behind me somewhere.
I don’t know Sydney well enough but something tells me
that The Bridge was not in the background of
any other King’s Cross photos so it must be a poster.
Still it looks effective…I think.
