 The shell on the back of snails is the external skeleton
or also called an exoskeleton.
They provide a wide surface area for the attachment of muscles.

The last week or so has been a series

of Birthday parties to celebrate our

Granddaughter’s second birthday.

My guess is that this young lady has her

profession and career well and truly sorted.

 

Whereas the ladies who operated

these rooms, at Pompeii…

 

…which were complete with illustrations

of services provided…

 

…required little formal training in what is often

described as the world’s oldest profession.

We were only allowed to pat the cheetah

on her head, so my hand was safe…

…however, not so safe was this hand

to which she took exception. 

No harm was caused though..
