A Red-Breasted Weaver…
…and a Crimson Breasted Shrike
both from Botswana and both sporting
differing shades of red.
This would be close to one of the best sunrise images
I have captured.
On Sunday I made some lame excuse for going
to the supermarket to purchase
a Valentine’s Day card and flowers.
What a surprise I received when I saw a sign
stating Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, Feb. 14
displayed among the blooms.
At least I was early and not trying to purchase
when only the dregs were left.
Happy Valentine’s Day.

Sunday-Stills:…Red

Those photos are awesome. I don’t see many birds around where I live except for Robins that have red on them…well, red winged blackbirds occasionally.

Thank you, Kirstin. A couple of times each year we get parrots in our backyard, however, as with most of our wildlife they are skittish. African wildlife was all too willing to pose for the cameras. Made for some great images. 😉

Beautiful shots of the various reds here, Don! That sunset is amazing, and the birds close-ups are to die for. Smart man getting ahead of the Valentine’s Day rush–a beautiful bouquet!

Thank you, Terri. I did get ahead of the valentines day rush, even if it was accidental. 😉
