The logic surrounding purchasing a Kong for Taji

was to slow her mealtimes in other words,

make her exercise a bit while eating rather than

watch her vacuum her plate in ten seconds flat.

After her second feed, Taji was able to

extract all food from the kong so quickly that

using it was a waste of time.

These pansies are high on my list

of favourite flowers at the moment,

simply because they were planted in September 2020.

Earlier this year I had to replant some of them

in the hope of winter colour.

No such luck, however, during the past month or so,

after contemplating replanting my replants

they have taken off.

Meaning some of these plants are coming into their

third spring/summer flowering season.

Our mock orange bushes are in bloom at the moment

providing a gorgeous display and aroma.

The hardy leucadendron…

…seems to flourish year-round.

Surrounding our Weeping Cherry is Hellebores…

…which year after year keeps reproducing flowers

during winter.

Finally, number one on my list is one

I have named the Farm Camellia.

For approximately 4 or 5 years it languished

under a willow tree in our backyard where

no flowers were produced.

When we moved to the Geelong region,

I decided to bring it with us.

So it was dug up, tossed into half a 20-litre drum

and upon arrival, it was rather unceremoniously

dumped into its new home,

where it has flourished for the past 17 years.
