Goods Train…

…hurtling through a rural town.

On our return journey from Craig’s Hut…

…we stopped to view and photographed the Summit Tree…

Mt Stirling Summit Tree recognised as a living treasure

…then over the hill for a view of The Bowl.

The Silver Grey flora is actually Snow Gums

that were burnt in a bushfire around ten years ago.

The darker green patches are new regrowth,

which is slow for a eucalypt, however,

normal for higher colder climates.

Literally across the road from the

Summit Tree is The  Pinnacle.

A 360-degree view is possible from The Pinnacle.

In bygone years I would have jumped

at the possibility of photographing that view.

However, coughing and spluttering as I was

I decided to rest and clear my lungs.
