magic
It was magic that this rainbow
appeared as I was leaving
Point Lonsdale Pier.
It lasted for around 90 seconds,
and then simply disappeared again.
It was again like magic to watch daylight
raise sun from the sea.

Yep. Rainbow over a lighthouse. That’s definitely magic. Capturing it makes you a magician. 🙂

Thank you, Patrick 😊 . I shall graciously accept your kind words, even though I think I was outrageously lucky

Luck is more often than not an achievement of insight, intuition, instinct and inspiration in equal parts with anticipation. 🙂
In this case, “luck” was having the right camera on hand, knowing how to use it, and managing to get an ideal frame in the brief window of time allotted. 😉
I was similarly lucky one night on the Ganges River in Varanasi, India, and managed to capture the best photograph I’ve ever taken.

A great series of photos Patrick. As much as I love taking portraits there does appear to be a growing number of people around who do not want their photo taken with a half-decent pose and camera but do not mind cluttering social media with images that are, at times less than dignified.

Dramatic photos. Many things in life are magical and only a person aware of his surroundings can experience the wonder and awe of it. I am glad you have your camera at the ready to capture these events. I do the same.
